Soul Dog is here for you as well, offering an extensive menu of gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options! Fresh traditional toppings are available for the classic Hot Dog lover too. Top it all off with homemade hand-cut french fries, or our special chilis, soups, and desserts that change daily.

Founded by Jenny and Adam Teague in September 2004, this downtown poughkeepsie spot has become a favorite for those that step through its doors. With the laid-back vibe, dedicated service, and engaging food, Soul Dog is "Redefining the Hot Dog experience," making it as unique as you are!

Sabrett’s beef, Applegate’s natural chicken, and Veggie dogs are offered piled high with homemade toppings. Some favorite combos are soul sauce and caramelized onions or spicy peanut sauce with cucumbers and scallions. Jenny recommends a dog topped with cole slaw and Soul Sauce.

Besides hot dogs, the menu includes hand cut seasoned fries, chilis, soups and sandwiches-- and decadent desserts beckon from the counter. All are made fresh on site, with gluten-free options available.
